Verizon Wireless [1] is a CDMA carrier in the USA. They have a nationwide network of EVDO and 1xRTT data, as well as digital and analog voice channels. They have a reputation for great signal quality, but expensive plans. Currently, they offer the Treo 650, 700p, and 700w. Their most direct competitor is Sprint [2].

Data Session Call Waiting (CPOP)

As of July 2006, Verizon Wireless has rolled out CPOP which allows incoming voice call to interrupt an active data connection - even for 1xRTT connection (i.e. it is applicable to all users of Treo units including Treo 650). Click here for more information.

1. *228 <SEND>, then press 2 - Over-the-air programming service. This is to update the PRL (the newest roaming capability list).
