How do you edit this thing?
Sign in here with your Treocentral forum username and password. Then go to any article and click the 'edit' tab at the top.
Formatting is very simple. Words in double-brackets link to articles by the same title. For example...
[[Treo]]
...links to the Treo article. If you see a link in red, that means that an article hasn't been written for it yet - that's a great opportunity to add a page! Just click the link and then the 'edit' tab and get editing.
If you want to create a new page, find a page that is relevant to link your page from, and then add and link your title with double brackets. You can also just enter a page title directly into the url thusly:
http://wiki.treocentral.com/index.php/PAGE TITLE HERE

What in the world is a wiki?
If you've ever visited a website called Wikipedia, you've used a wiki. We're doing the exact same thing, except with Treos! A wiki is a collaborative content management system - any user can edit any page to ad their own thoughts and comments on an issue. A wiki is a living document, unencumbered by editors on vacation, its limits are only the limits of the 55,000 TreoCentral members. Maybe you are not the best Treo whiz, but you may be able to catch and fix a spelling or grammatical error. Most importantly, as the system is linked to our discussion board, it builds community.
Cite your sources!
There are already many resources for content that can be added to this wiki. First and foremost is the TreoCentral Forum. If you pull any information from a post, please be sure that you not only credit the original poster but also link back to the post. It is also important to put the post in your own words and not just cut and paste - that's a copyright violation!
This is not a discussion board.
Instead, this is a place where you can add the information gleamed from forum threads, and turn it into a stable permanent document for others to refer to. Please keep discussions in the forums.
Remember, it is organic.
The topics below are there to help you get started browsing, but perhaps you would like to search for an article? There is no reason to limit yourself to these topics - every article links to other articles, so the entire website is organically browseable.
