PhoneAlarm
From TreoCentral
PhoneAlarm is a Windows Mobile program designed to be operated on Windows Mobile 5 and earlier. It can be found at http://pocketmax.net/phoneAlarm.html. It is also great for one-handed use (see WM Easy of Use / One Hand Tips).
PhoneAlarm (or PA) is a Today Plugin
...giving you total control over your Pocket PC Phone. Never miss an important call, SMS or Email again. Automatically switch profiles and quickly access Inbox, call history and control the state of bluetooth directly from the Today screen. Optimised for one-handed and in-car use. [1]
Essentially the software offers users of the Treo 700w/wx full control over how their device responds to incoming calls, emails, text messages and voicemails. For instance, one can set PA to notify that they have a new email by flashing the LED, pop up notifcation and a specific sound file. It is analogous to the PalmOS program Butler with the addition of a Today plugin that provides counters for email, SMS, Voicemail etc.
The program also supports Profiles such as "Home", "Work", "Meeting" etc. These profiles can be set on a time table by day as well as in sync with calendar appointments.
