PalmOS
The Memos application has been one of the fundamental PIM applications since the early days of Palm. It is a general purpose place for you to record anything you want to note. Like the other PIM apps (Calendar, Contacts and Tasks), you can categorize them into one of 16 groups you define, send them or others by email or even beam them via the IR port or Bluetooth.

For Windows Mobile, the calendar is managed through Pocket Outlook.
