How do I copy contacts to and from the SIM Card

This is a limitation of the design of the built-in software of the GSM Treo 600.

The reverse process is possible: you can import name and numbers stored on the SIM card into Contacts (press the Menu key and then select Import from SIM).

But there is no automated option to take data in Contacts and copy it into the SIM Book. At best, you have to copy and paste names and numbers into the SIM Book but this is awkward.

The reasoning behind this design limitation is that the Contacts database carries much more information per record than the SIM Book entries do. A Contact record could have multiple phone numbers, it will have a street address and much more. But the poor little SIM Book can only save a short string for a name and one single number. And the SIM can only hold maybe 50 names and numbers anyway.
