General Information about GPS

GPS on the Treo requires two distinct parts:

• a GPS Receiver for picking up the satellite signal
• GPS software to interpret the postioning data

Types of GPS Accessories

• GPS Bundles
  • GPS Bundles include both the GPS Receiver and the GPS software necessary to use it to find directions. Typically these bundles have a Bluetooth GPS receiver and come with a car charger for the GPS reciever.
• GPS Receivers
  • This is the hardware necessary to receive the satellite signal. The common types that are used with Treos are the bluetooth GPS receivers and an SDIO GPS receiver (available for the Treo 700w/wx only.
