Can I use my Treo in the dark

Ever since the introduction of the Treo 270, the Treo has worked great in the dark.

The Treo allows you to make phone calls, check your calendar, type emails, and browse the web in the dark. The color backlit screen allows for great readability in low lighting conditions. The backlit keyboard also enables easy phone dialing, typing or data input in the dark.

The Treo also has a nightime mode by entering Function-P (or Option-right shift, on some models). When selected, the Treo will dim the screen slightly and keep the keypad lit allowing you to work comfortably in the dark for longer periods of time without wasting too much battery on needless screen brightness. Entering the command a second time turns the function off.

The screens in the Phone application and Calendar are often bright enough to use as a flashlight but for maximum brightness, you may want to install a free application for PalmOS called PalmLight.
