Activesync is the synchronization software that is used on Windows Mobile devices such as the Treo 700w/wx. It is a Windows-only program.

Activesync is an Application both on the Desktop and on the Treo itself. It has an advantage over the PalmOS HotSync in that it is automatic and does not require a button to be pushed to initiate it. Some people consider this this automation to be a liability, however, as older versions of Activesync were somewhat buggy and unstable.
